Homework 4

You are encouraged to form study groups to work on these problems.  However each student must hand in a separate assignment: the group can work together to discuss the papers and comment on drafts, but each study group member must write it up herself/himself.  When submitting assignments, please include your name and the assignment number as part of the filename.

Please write the names of your study group members at the beginning of your homework to acknowledge their contributions.

Write a short essay explaining what you believe should be the consideration given to sustainability in evaluating public policy options. How would you frame this, in the economic terminology that we developed in class? What should be the tradeoff between a sustainable environment and economic growth?

This essay should be about a page (around 500 words).

Please post this to InYourClass.com by Sunday evening so that the other students in the class can read it.

Then please post at least two responses to other students' posts by the end of the day on Tuesday.
